Why Pare exists

We started Pare because we saw the same problem again and again: good businesses with great ideas being let down by the software industry. Agencies charge too much and move too slowly. Freelancers are unreliable. Hiring a full-time team before you've validated an idea is a gamble most can't afford.

There had to be a better way. A team that's small enough to move fast, experienced enough to deliver quality, and smart enough to use AI as a genuine multiplier — not a marketing buzzword.

That's Pare. We strip away the overhead, the unnecessary process, and the bloat. What's left is a focused team that builds things properly and delivers real value.

Pare was founded by two people who believe great software doesn't need a big team — just the right expertise and a relentless focus on what matters.

Chris Collins

Chris Collins

Founder & Technical Lead

Chris is a data scientist, ML engineer, and systems architect who specialises in building quantitative systems that drive commercial decisions — pricing engines, demand forecasting, optimisation algorithms, and predictive models — across logistics, on-demand delivery, sports betting, and retail.

Before founding Pare, he was Head of Data Science at Shift, where he joined as the first data scientist and built the function from the ground up. He designed the pricing system that lifted margins by 20%, built the demand forecasting pipeline, and engineered automated vehicle routing that eliminated manual planning entirely. Previously, he built real-time pricing models for sports betting markets at FSB Technology and shipped churn prediction across 23 countries at Glovo. He holds a First Class MEng from the University of Bath.

Chris leads every engagement personally. He's the person in your planning meetings, reviewing your architecture, and writing the code that ships.

Maria Benitez

Maria Benitez

Founder & Design Lead

Maria is a graphic designer and UX/UI specialist who believes great digital products live in the details. She combines branding, illustration, typography, and interface design to create cohesive experiences — strategically building products that engage the right audience and speak for the business.

Before co-founding Pare, she designed brands and digital products across agencies and startups in Mexico and Canada. At DUDE Agency she led end-to-end web projects from strategic planning through to developer handoff. At Engineered Code, she launched ecLearn's brand and website from scratch — from UX through to brand guidelines and digital assets. She holds a Graphic Design degree with a UX/UI specialty from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.

Maria leads all design work at Pare — from early wireframes and brand direction through to polished interfaces ready for development.
